Dragonlance: Lord Soth

The sixth book in the Warriors series tells the story of the rise and fall of the Knight of the Black Rose.  Soth's story has been recounted many times in varying degrees of detail, but here is the complete story for the first time.

Sadly, there's not enough extra here to make it worthwhile.  Also, I was hoping for a classic tale of a good man corrupted by uncontrollable passion, but the opening of the book sees Soth arranging the murder of his bastard step-siblings.  At no point do you feel any pity or compassion for Soth's character and that completely ruins the tone of the book.  You do find yourself feeling for his wives, Korinne and Isolde, but not to such an extent as to make this something remarkable.

Basically, this book is a run-of-the-mill fantasy story of which any self-respecting Dragonlance reader will already know the ending.  So, not really worth the money.
