Civil War: Peter Parker, Spider-Man

A tie-in to Mark Millar's 'Civil War', in which his support of the Superhuman Registration Act causes Spider-Man to reveal to the world that he is Peter Parker.
This book shows us the repercussions of that revelation on the other people in Spidey's life. The first of these vignettes features both Spider-Man's nemesis Doctor Octopus and two of Peter Parker's students. The second features a plot to destroy Peter's family orchestrated by long-time villains such as Chameleon and Electro. Then we are shown how Mary Jane struggles with being the wife of a man caught in the middle of the Civil War. Finally, the Black Cat decides to exorcise her infatuation with Spider-Man in a confrontation with the Rhino.
Whilst these stories make an interesting supplement to Spider-Man's other Civil War exploits, they're not great. I was particularly disappointed by the Chameleon's plan, which was basically just like every other plan that every other villain has come up with in the history of comics.
